A serious and hardworking teacher becomes concerned about a male student whose grades are dropping, eventually discovering him bruised and alone during a storm. In a misguided attempt to comfort him and alleviate a physical reaction she believes she caused, she crosses a professional boundary and initiates a sexual encounter. Although she intends for it to be a one-time event, the student manipulates her into continuing the relationship, and she soon finds herself addicted to the passion lacking in her own marriage.
